Early to bed, early to rise

...makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.  Well, I hope it does, because I am really wishing I was back in bed.  As I mentioned in the previous post, my husband gets up very early for work (today wasn't quite as early only 5:15am).  Normally I head back to bed after he leaves and my son wakes me up between 7:30-8am.  That isn't very late in the day, but if I don't get up before my son I feel like I don't get nearly as much done as I'd like.  As I'm sure most of you are, I'm much more productive when my child is sleeping.  I use to stay up for a few hours after he went to bed so I could get some things done and have some me time to unwind from the day.  That was hard, because I also wanted to spend some alone time with my husband and then I'd end up going to bed around midnight or later which will not make me healthy or wise!
My goal is to stay up after my hubby leaves and have my alone time in the morning, and be ready for my boy when he wakes up.  My husband and I were talking and thought it would be better for our son if I'm up before him, instead of him waking me up.  Hopefully I can teach my kids better sleeping habits than I've established for myself.  I need to be more of a morning bird instead of a night owl.  For those who know me, this will be a hard transition, but so worth it in the end.  I hope this helps my daily schedule and helps me get a lot more done throughout the day-including getting to the gym earlier in the day!
